Forgot.  Big ups to Truman State Women’s Soccer, who will play in the DII Elite 8 tomorrow for the first time since my senior season in 2001 and only the second time in program history. These ladies are fierce as hell, have a crazy-strong defense, and include my recently-married former teammate Jessie’s little sister Bridgette who scored the game-winning goal in the first round of the tourney.  I love keeping it in the family.  They are coached by my good friend and concert buddy Mike Cannon, who is Truman Soccer (dude’s coaching record? 216-75-27.  Um, that’s a crazy winning percentage). They will eventually name the field for him, I’m convinced.  I learned practically everything I know about soccer (and a lot of what I know about good music) from him.

Anyhoo, I wish I could go up, but I’ve got bidness to handle here in town.  Good luck, ladies!  I’ll be thinking about you.
