Went to a place called the Penguin. Kind of divey, nice jukebox, good food. The hummus was delish. Also check out the NoDa Arts District. Getting out on the road and seeing our country upfront and personal is something we enjoy. Matter of fact, we just got back from a 3 week trip (4200 miles) out to the southwest. Good fucking times! I wish I could rec a a spot to eat but the only places I've been in those cities worth a damn are music venues...Have fun. My wife and I do the same thing each year.
