As a still-vegetarian, I thank you, former-vegetarian, for thinking of my Thanksgiving trials in the midst of all that bacon fantasizing. Will definitely have to try that recipe. I love butternut squash.

I was a vegetarian for a long time, too. 14 years. Okay, technically I was a junketarian because I managed to survive on junk food, like Taco Hell (nachos bell grande minus meat, anyone?).

I've been eating meat for about 4 years now and although I don't eat it every day, I probably won't be able to revert back because of cheeseburgers. And hot dogs (only the Cardinal Dogs, all others can suckit). And of course, bacon. Precious bacon.

I have never had a soy burger that I like, however, I recently tried the Boca 'ground beef' and it's not bad at all....because it can be mixed with other foods.

I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving because I'm taking a roadtrip to Kentucky to visit my aunt and uncle. However, they are both 'watching what they eat' so I've been warned that the menu may be wonky. Dammit.
